Word 07 is being very annoying at the moment, mostly because Microsoft decided to change the default settings that we have become accustomed to.

However I am fine with that since normally I can set my own default settings. but all of a sudden my settings changed themselves back to the awful Microsoft ones. And now, no matter what I do they will not change themselves back when I create a new document. This isn't a horrible problem but it is very annoying and there is no reason it should be happening.

can anyone give me a suggestion on what to do other than reinstalling word?

please disregard my previous post, I have no idea how or why, but for some reason my antivirus decided to ruin word 07. Getting rid of it seems to have fixed everything, but I honestly do not know was going on, it didn't even occur to me that it may be the problem

Good for you! But, how did you make that connection? And which antivirus program was causing the problem?

I once had an installation of Kaspersky kill Word 2003. No idea how or why, but Word started crashing right after I installed KIS. Nothing else changed on the computer, so I figured it had to be KIS.
