    Word 2000

    can word 2000 be updated to xp so that it will have the task pane etc etc, i haev xp on the laptop(vostro 1500) and the same thing for excel and powerpoint 2000 btw?

    its a longshot but worth a try

    Word 2000 can't read Office 07's new formats.

    what i mean is can you update without having to buy it all over again?? i heard someone say you can but didnt think it was possible.

    Through an upgrade disk, yes.
    But, probably not Word 2000 to 2007 though more like 2000 to 2003.
