I had to restore my laptop back to its original state as I had bought it today because of a virus. I had purchased a legit CD copy of MS Word 2010. The installation disk was lost in a car accident. Is there anyway I can get my copy of Word 2010 back on my computer without having the disk and the validation code that came with the disk? Or am I back at square-one and have to buy a new copy?

    Thanks!

I suspect you already know the answer to your question. You will need to buy a new copy.

Most likely you could have pulled the Word 2010 Product Key off your HD with a number of different programs, before your restore, and then used any Word 2010 disk to reinstall. Since you have restored your HD back to original that data is now lost.

If you have some sort of proof of purchase, then it's worth giving Microsoft a call. They are usually very good about things like that, and may give you what you need.
