Have you noticed that when you open a new document from windows explorer or somewhere else, word won't pop open (at least for me) and instead shows the orange flashing icon in the windows 7 taskbar that there is now a new or active/updated window. Then after you click the icon and then the file of course it will maximize.

Have any of you noticed this? I find it very annoying when my other office programs will just open the file maximized right away!

Any idea how to fix it? Thanks.

    It doesn't happen to me..

Btw, just a thought > have you set word as the default email editor for outlook or similar? if yes, try removing it..

    You could also check here:

    [IMG] Uploaded with ImageShack.us

start > programs > word 2010 > right click > properties > shortcut tab.. and try setting "run" to 'normal window' or 'maximized' and see if it helps..

    Cheers...

Tried the maximized solution didn't work. I also don't think I set word as a default email editor but I could not see it in the default programs area of control panel.

Let me know if there is anything else please. Thanks!
