Hi My lappy came with Word only & I already have 2003 word so am not wanting to purchase 2007 word just for the lappy, I found my orig disks for my old lappy that had XP on it & it is works 8.0, Would I be able to install this on my new vista? I just want to be able to type stuff up & open up typed stuff, this is ridiculous to not give yah some type of word processor software. Thanks!

Its a violation of the EULA in OEM software (like you have) to install it on another computer. So no.

Google 'wordpad' or 'notepad' if you want to find Vista's text editor.

    It should work.

You could also download OpenOffice 2.4 for free and have more functionality.
