It says it's for Apple iMac. I was wondering if it's made different.
Would this one work for HP laptop? CMS - 16GB (2X8GB) RAM Memory for IBM Lenovo ThinkPad T530 2359-xxx Series - CM10246412800SOX20200

RAM is RAM is RAM, as long as it's DDR3 SODIMM, it should work just fine. I'm not aware of any dangerous voltage differences.
-
Would it be better to buy crucial RAMs instead?
-
If you're concerned, it would be better to buy it from someone that specifies it should work with your machine and also guarantees it.

I wanted to buy from best buy though for six month installments instead paying all at once. Doesn't the iMac use a desktop only ram? Or laptop ram

If you need monthly installments to pay for a $125 item, perhaps you have bigger fish to fry than upgrading computer hardware. -
I was going to buy 3tb external with that too.

Well Desktop and Laptop RAM have different space designs. Laptop RAM has a lower profile to fit in small spaces.
I don't know about Macintosh. The last one I put my hands on was in 1987.

Edit:
I lied. I held an iPhone a few months ago. I only looked at a picture. I swear - it didn't go any further than that.

lol at this, but I think imacs use laptop parts for their ram and gpus. so yeah it probably works.
Would this RAM work for Windows laptop too?
