I cant find the drivers I need in order to downgrade from Vista Home Premium to XP Home SP2. I went to the ACER website and they had practically nothing there at all. Can anyone please help me find them so I can get rid of Vista?
Thank You to anyone who can help... :)

Thank you..I downloaded them. But cant find the drivers for the Hitachi HDD. I went to Hitachi but they dont have that hdd even listed. But the site did say that XP and VISTA OS already had the drives for the drive loaded or included or something to that effect. But to load them into my pc, I had to use the F6 option during installation and use a floppy disk to load them with. Problem is, my pc doesnt have a floppy drive and the site said that they could only be loaded via the floppy drive A: (said it was a limitation on their part). How do I load them then if I dont have a floppy drive?

smg53 - It sounds like you need to slipstream the ICH8M (or maybe ICH7M) SATA drivers into your XP CD. I tried the floppy-install routine back in 2006, and it didn't work. Slipstreaming the chipset/SATA drivers did the trick for me. There is a ton of into on this available right here on NBR - I found the slip-streaming instructions on the HP page - but there are numeous other references to it. I couldn't find much on Google about the 5570 so I don't know if it uses ICH7M or ICH8M.

Im totally confused. I now read I do need to install the drivers manually. But I cant find them anywhere. Ive got all the other drivers now except for those SATA drivers for my hard drive (Hitachi). The Hitachi website doesnt have anything listed for my model Hdd (HTS541612J9SAOO). I dont know where to find that ICH8M or ICH7M thing you mentiond Jelly. Thanks for the help though.

I think I have all the drivers except for I still cant find those freakin SATA XP drivers to downgrade with from Vista to XP Home SP2. I cant believe it. I am up till about 3Am every morning trying to find them (or It). I did find this on another website "srcfc22c.net" and "srcfc22c.w2k" I assume the second one is for Win 2000. But, are these those SATA drivers (they're in a zipped format) and I dont want to unzip them without asking first if they are indeed those SATA drivers.
I appreciate everyones help very much.
Thank you all again very much.
    :)

Now I have 4 different WLAN XP Drivers and am not sure which one to use. How can there be so many..Lol?
    1. Wireless LAN Driver 802.11 abg Intel ver. 10.1.1.3
    2. Wireless LAN Driver 802abg Atheros ver. 5.3.0.45
    3. Atheros ver. 6.0.3.85
    4. XP 32 ver. 4.2.2.7

The first 2 were found on the ACER overseas site. (noticed the first one was not Atheros, but it was listed as one for my 5570 Acer Laptop)

#3 I read on another forum where 2 people were using it on their Acer laptops but dont remember if they had the 5570 laptops.

#4 read the same that a few people were using this one on their 5570 Acers.
Can anyone tell me which is the one I should be using?

A Sticker on my laptop reads" 802.11b/g wireless LAN" But EVEREST or PC Wizard (forget which one) found it to be " 802.11 abg".
Which would be the one I should use of the 4 listed?

    Hi All
What a crock I cant get the modem to go on the acer 5570z I got everything else going but the modem. Vista is so slow. Heres what I did and I never needed sata drivers either.

    1. Deleted the Paritions and create the partitions you need if any I left mine open.
    2. Format NTFS
    3. While that was happening I downloaded all the xp drivers acer had on site extracted them to there folder names. Burnt them all to a cdr. All except for one file thats 4.1gig in size I left that one. On site you will see 2 download boxes for xp get everything. About 546mb in total.

    5. When Xp had installed I went to Device manager all the devices it didnt install are checked with a yellow check mark.
    6. Select one at a time start form the top select update driver search automatically for driver on cd that you burnt and the driver goes in. Select next yellow check mark do the same thing.
    7. Install via setup the audio drivers, Blue tooth, camera drivers via setup.
    8. Make sure you have net framework 1.1 on 2 wont work with edata and elock.
    9. Thats Pretty much it EXCEPT for the MODEM I am still sourcing a solution for that.
