I don't understand this, both HP.se and HP.com clearly states (#8) that I can upgrade to Vista, no matter if I have the MCE, Home, or Pro version of XP. However, I have to pay some to get Vista if I'm upgrading from XP Home. OK, fair enough. I knew that when I bought this laptop in december.
The problem is that I can only choose XP Pro or MCE as my current OS at the Vista Express ModusLink site, not XP Home.
Can someone please tell me what I'm doing wrong?

well good for u then, i mean if u choose either and it gives u a free upgrade without paying and upgrades u to premium then do it

The Moduslink U.S website does have the option for Windows XP Home to Vista basic upgrade. Is the link youuse the same as the one linked from HP.com or is it different...
https://upgradeweb.moduslink.com/Vista/HP/ -
maybe it doesnt have the option for XP Home for his particular model in his country which is Sweden.

Ok, after reading miners post I checked again. It seems like it's not a matter of country I live in, it depends on which model I have.
I get XP Home as an option if I choose a DV9000 or a V3000 for instance.
But when I try Nc6400 or Nx9420 it's not there.
So it seems like the N-series with XP Home won't get any upgrades!
Could this be right? As I said before, both HP.com and HP.se states that I should get an upgrade.
XP Home & Vista Express Upgrade, does it exist?
