hi, i wanna ask, are those updates really necessary to install? Cuz there're so many updates one day... and if i keep on updating, my HD will be bloated w/ updates -_-"
So, i was wondering what exactly is important to install and what's not?!

    thx very very very much

    Clb,

Performing updates to your system won't really "bloat" your system as the old files get over-written by the new files. A backup copy is saved in your Windows folder, but that can easily be removed.

I personally use SP2 on my systems and I think it's fine. A lot of security updates and some fixes. One thing I don't really like about SP2 is the small problem it creates with wireless. It'll occasionally cut out and immediately reconnect. I didn't see this happen with SP1.

SP2 contains all the updates upto the date that SP2 was released. This is the better route to take then to add all the seperate updates available on the MS site.

If you're concerned about your system getting bloated, I'd be more concerned with all the software that comes with the standard notebook load. It's loaded with a lot of garbage that you probably will never use or even want. I'd reload the system manually from scratch and then load only the drivers needed for the system to work properly. Then install the apps you want. This will lighten you system by a few hundred megs.

I'd recommend you install all the necessary windows updates. Its better to have a little extra space taken up rather than an old virus wreak havoc on your computer.
