I think I've finally decided on a notebook - the Toshiba M35X! Seems like the best deal and lightest weight for a 15.4 in widescreen. Any last minute objections or alternatives?

However, I'm not sure whether to get the 329 with XP Home or pay $130 more for the 3921 with XP Professional. What are the major differences?

Thanks for all of your help. This community is awesome!

    Hi Carter,
It depends on how and for what your going to be using the notebook for. If this notebook will ever be connected to a corporate or university network, then get the pro version as it will be required to connect. If your the kind of person who like's to get into the details of how your OS is configured, then get the Pro version. If the notebook will not be used on a corporate or college network and you just like to turn the notebook on and use your programs and not mess too much with how the OS is setup, then get the home edition.

Also, will you program .net on this machine? Run SQL Server? IIS? If so, get Pro.
