I recall seeing something on the forum before, but I can't seem to locate it (yes, I did a search).

How do I go about making an XP Install disk from my restore disks. I have heard of people doing it, but don't know how. Thanks.

    Download "nlite" from: http://www.nliteos.com/download.html

Run the program. When it asks for a Windows installation folder (disk), point it to your restore disk. Then you can customize it pretty nicely to make it unattended or have it include drivers/software.

    Good luck and have fun.

Restore disks are compressed, and have no i386 directory accesible. So nLite won't work.

I guess it depends on the manufacturer. ;)
