So, I have an on campus printer driver I'd like to install, currently I run XP in VirtualBox so I can print here on campus. Any chance this "XP mode" could virtualize the printer/printer driver for me, so I don't have to boot up a VM?

    Or is it program specific?

I don't know if you have it, but Adobe Acrobat (main program, not the reader) has a Virtual Printer feature that allows you to print anything directly to PDF from any application once it's installed. I haven't used a hard-copy printer in probably 4 years or more. Essentially all you do is set it up and select it in the print menu like you would any other printer.

If you don't, you can get a student copy for pretty cheap either online or on campus at your campus store. It's worth it.

Yeah, thanks for the suggestion but the whole purpose is furnishing a hard-copy I can turn in. And there are a myriad of free pdf printers out there for those who want to skip out on Adobe updates of death.
