    XP Pro more supportive of 64 bit than home?

    Anyone heard of this at all?

    Also, can you buy an "upgrade" from home to pro?

    Where did you see it???
    You could mabye upgrade ot the maker of your laptop but there is no
    uprgade without reinstalling your computer. (without loosing all data on the partion where windows is instaled)
    You can also get the 64bit beta version for free on www.microsft.com

    home and pro are both unsupportive of 64 bit as each other!

    you cannot upgrade from HE to PRO after you have bought a HE, because they are 2 different licenses and hence must pay for both. Unless you are talking about prepurchase upgrade ... HE is around $80 per license, PRO around $180, so an upgrade from a retailer goes at around $100
