There are bound to be plenty, so I figured it time to start a topic on in. I have one issue to report:
After installing, the new security center is not recognizing Norton as a valid virus protection. I went to manual override to get rid of the warning. Anyone else have this issue?
A good note, I really like the new wireless graphics...

I'm not installing it for at least 2 weeks incase there are major problems they didn't know about. Dose SP2 add many proccess to the backround? I pay close attention to that so that my resources aren't being used up by silly programs that don't need to be on. With my macafee running I usally have 29 proccesses at startup. When I got this computer it was like 40! all that extra junk they add.

Should everyone update, or does the hassle (with problems) overweigh the benefits?
Brian can you post a picture of the new wireless graphics, as I like little changes like that? Thanks.

I think it's fine to upgrade. I don't see any issues, in fact nothing feels different. I have roughly 35 processes running when programs are shut down, but I don't know if that's more or less than before, I don't pay attention to that.
As for the new wireless icon, you're sick. Just install the service pack!

I installed the service release candidate 2 for SP2 a month ago and last night was able to install the new SP2. During the month of running the SRC2, I never had a problem--to most users, they will not know there has been a change, other than the Security Center. With the pop up blocker in IE, I deactivated the Google pop up blocker and feel the IE blocker works great. I had read that Zone Alarm and Symantec Antivirus were not recognized by SRC2 and that was correct. As the previous poster stated, run an update on Symantec and everything will be fine. SP2 now recognizes ZoneAlarm Pro and Symantec Antivirus.

the XP SP2 now is finallize. I basically disable all the new services that turn on by default. other than system slowdown upon boot up, there is no other problem, well except StyleXP, or just patch the uxtheme.dll yourself.

When I go to the window's update site service pack 2 dose not come up for being a down load option. Is it not on that site yet?

believe it or not, microsoft don't want people to jump in and download yet, and the reason is simply, (and this is the funny part)they don't very have enough bandwidth for people to go download all at once. The link provided is stated for the network is simply a collected patch&update. In windows update, it will be a small executable file, which will determine which patches&update you need, so instead of downloading 266MB SP2, the Windows update(which will comeout at the end of the month) will be much smaller if you are occasionally run windows update. on the other hand, if download the 266MB version, you can burn it to a CD, and no internet connection is needed during update. Currently Microsoft only have XP SP2 available for network option and computer manufacturers. If you want the Windows Update version, wait until around August 27-28.

Thanks for the info I didn't know that, I thought it was released, I did think they might release it slowly because of the reason you stated.

It appear that the XP SP2 will lock the wifi drivers for itself, the 3rd party utility does not appear to work, in my case, proset.exe appear to be hung up upon loading even though Wireless Zero Congfiguration is disable and you have to use Windows utility instead. If anyone have XP SP2 installed, please confirm the problem, or report if experience otherwise.
