I've recently installed xp sp2 on my inspiron 1525. Later windows update download and installed xp3. Later that night I tried to install a program.( free music zilla) Which is an .exe. I keep running into and error when I double click the exe for free music zilla setup.

Instantly after that, zonealarm popup and tell me that it found a virus.

The whole process keeps repeating. I double click the setup exe. The error comes up. Then a virus is found.

Anyone know how to fix this? I just want to install that program.

Sounds like a false positive. Just to make sure, wipe out your temp directory (if you are unsure, go to your accessories/system tools/disk cleanup) and then run the setup again. Make sure you get SP3 from a legit source. Some sites hosts Trojans within the SP3 pack. _shfldr.dll is a known trojan vector.

I finally installed it. I had to shutdown zonealarm. But the "virus" either real or not is still poking at me. The first part of the name is not a virus and that worries me too.

Its not a virus. Its a false positive found by heuristics. No worries.
