I recently bought a used Fujitsu ST5112 slate and I want to replace the hard drive. I'd prefer to do a clean install but cloning is also an option. Since the installation disc for XP Tablet didn't come with the computer, I would need to download one to do a clean install. I've looked and kind find it available for download. Is there anything out there or should I just clone?

Cloning should be fine. That will save you some hassles with driver installation as well.

I just went all through this recently with an old tablet computer. What i found out was: there is no windows XP "tablet edition" discs ever released by microsoft. All the xp tablet edition OSes are OEM specific and made for each tablet manufacturer. There is a way to make your own legitimately by using some sort of microsoft development tools but it seemed complicated. I did more searching and found a forum where a member has done all the work for you. There are some steps to it like installing the correct dotnet framework from microsoft, but it was really easy and you can choose from tablet inputs from win7, vista, xp, or xp classic.
In the end all i did was install regular winXP, and then follow his directions, it works perfect.
