    Hi guys and girls,

I am trying to fix a networking problem I have had for years.

My desktop PC which is old (runs XP) which is connected so I can run my Lexmark Optra S 1855 printer as it has the printer port.

This pc can access the other pc's on the network no problems but the othey way around nothing is permitted to access it.

I have checked the netbios in tcp/ip which is on, computer browser in services is now enabled, ran original file windows check and fixed some up and a few other things. Everything seems like it should be working. Even thje firewall has been turned off to try and get it to work.

But no other pc can access it. It will show up in the network computer list. My older notebook with XP can access the printer, but as I have a new notebook now with vista, since it cant access the desktop it cant get the printer installed.

Any help would be great! thanks
