I have had 2 CF-29 toughbooks with an intell 2100 and 2200 mini pci cards have this issue, and now an Itronix gobook. Yes it may be based on the hardware, but it is a software issue.

When I allow windows xp sp2 wireless zero configuration manage the wifi cards in question, I will get a baloon that says "wireless networks within range. click here to view". Once clicked on, the view wireless networks box pops up (where you would normally select which one to connect to) but it has no networks available. Even after several attempts of "refresh list" and or "repair connection" I still cannot view the networks to pick from.

Why? and how do I fix it?

    TIA!
