This is a stupid issue that I have with my XP installation (administrator account) and can not fix for some reason.
Simply put, XP forgets some of the settings that I set and upon next logon resets them to the previous state.
    The three specific places:
    1) Desktop icon arrangement - XP has this set to autoarrange. I can reset it and place my icons any way I want, but upon next logon the setting is back
    2) Quick Launch Panel display - this setting for some reason reverts to unchecked state every logon
    3) Explorer Status Bar - same here

Have any of you had anything similar and found the solution?

    Cheers,

    netscorer.

For the first problem, I'd say uncheck the autoarrange option. Otherwise you've got something wierd going on.
