    XP install "cannot copy files"

    Hi, I'm trying to install XP on my dv6747tx and i keep getting the error "cannot copy files". I skip them and get another error "setup could not continue, access is denied" and XP quits install. these are some of the files that wouldn't copy:

    ipcfg.xml
    osinfo.xml
    potscfg.xml
    pppcfg.xml
    xmlp_bdg.xdr
    xmlp_bec.xdr
    xmlp_beu.xdr
    xmlp_ecp.xdr
    xmlp_ecu.xdr
    xmlp_fcd.xdr
    xmlp_fcw.xdr
    xmlp_hlp.xdr
    xmlp_loc.xdr
    xmlp_mas.xdr
    xmlp_mcc.xdr
    xmlp_mcu.xdr

    is the cd scratched?

    you are doing a clean install of XP from bootup right?
