    Hello All,
I have a Dell XPS M1210 Laptop originally installed Vista. I want to install XP on this and formatted the Hard drive. The XP installation hangs at " Setup is starting Windows", even give SATA drivers at F6 prompt by using Floppy drive. I would be very much appreciate if anyone can give a successfull idea to overcome this.
    Thanks in Advance

Hello. You need to integrate SATA drivers into Windows XP. It's very simple procedure. Here the manual how to make it: Windows XP simple install (use google to tranlate it)

You can also edit the txtsetup file so the default drivers it loads are actually the correct ones that you need :)

I'm guessing it's the AHCI drivers it is failing to load properly just like my Sony decided to do because it thought it knew best..
