Hi, I upgraded my notebook with 4GB of RAM and I don't know, what Windows would be better. I wanted to install XP x64, because the performance in XP x32 was better than in Vista x32 (with 2GB of RAM), but now, my classmates advised me to install the x64 version of Vista instead of XP. I work with Sony Vegas 8 PRO and Adobe After Effects, so the performance of Vegas and AE is very important for me. I've read a couple of articles and forums about Vista vs XP, but I can't still decide.

So what Windows would be better? Vista x64 or XP x64?

    My notebook: ThinkPad R61, C2D T7100, 4GB RAM, 160GB Seagate 7200.2, Quadro 140M, WIN XP Pro 32bit

Thank you very much and sorry for my English if there are any mistakes.

If you want better x64 support chose Vista.
