I have vista at my pc(C drive),i installed XP to my E drive!(took me 2 days to find out)

Anyway,at the boot menu,i can see both XP and Vista! Then i started to install drivers but i cant install!

When i try to install my chipset driver (Intel Mobile PM965 Express Chipset),i cant install it!Giving me error like "E:\infinst_auto.exe" The Application has failed to start because the application configuration is
incorrect. Restalling the application may fix the problem.

And when i start to install my nvidia 9500m gs driver,it is not installing either!

    What can be the problem?

PS:When i installed xp,i didnt change "SATA Operation Mode" from Enhanced to Compatible!I burned a installation disk with a driver for SATA disk. Can this be the problem?

try the installer once more, by downloading the exact installer for your OS....If it doesn't work, then....
Do not install use the installer, but go into device manager and reinstall the following with the proper INFs from the ALL folder of the chipset driver download....just select the folder and the installer will search for the suitable inf to install from

    PCI standard host CPU bridge

    PCI standard ISA bridge

    PCI standard PCI-to-PCI bridge

    PCI System Management Bus

    Standard Dual PCI IDE Controller

Standard Universal PCI to USB Host Controller

If that is complicated for you, slipstream the drivers into the XP install and then reinstall XP....

    I have PM965 chipset!

When i look, driver for it is at "system32/Drivers/pci.sys" The error is about "cant enough memory to use,if you want to use this, you have to disable anotherdevice"

Did you let the device installer look for the suitable driver..??
    Did it install successfully..??
    Are the other devices installed..??
Try running the PM 965 chipset windows installer now....
