    XP pro or Vista Business?

    Hi everybody,
    i'm in the process of buying a new laptop, and i can choose between these 2 OS, which one would the experts reccomend?

    Depends on your configuration.

    If you're getting Vista, get 2 gigs of RAM, XP, 1 should suffice.

    First start is to see if any programs that you need are incompatible with current Vista...If not then you start with functionality. In all likelihood both will give you the function that you need. Third, check with your support structures. Do you work for a business that will support either. If you are buying as an individual, do you go to someone that helps you with computers much, what do they prefer or will they help you with. I personally, just bought a Vista business machine. But that is because I support a lot of other people and need a Vista machine so that I can be familiar enough with it to help others out.

    If you need Cisco's LEAP (most college network use that ) for the netowrk you must go for XP pro since it's the only one it supports.

    Cisco's LEAP is such as BS that intel,cisco and microsoft abbadonned it (it was less secure than 64bit WEP) so no vista drivers
