So i had to redownload intels extreme tuning utility to overclock my cpu with windows 10. after it downloads, i click install, and it just lags then gives some kind of error. i cant even install xtu now. even when i had a locked bios, i was still able to download xtu. it just didnt let me adjust voltage then. but now i cant even install the program.
even on intels website, it says '' select the program you'd like to download- windows 7 or 8.1 version''
there's no option for windows 10!
has anyone else had any issues with cpu overclocking in windows 10?

Usually the 8.1 version works for windows 10. While I am unable to change anything, locked bios, from the inplace upgrade from W7 I can run XTU.
-
its so weird. i cant even install xtu to open it

1) you are logged in with an Admin account right
2) if the answer is YES, is this a local account or an online Micro$haft account? -

Have you installed Net Framework 3.5?. Under Control Panel/Programs/Turn Windows Features ON or Off

i had this problem as well updating from win8.1 to 10. after a fresh win10 install version 6.0.2.1 worked flawlessly
-
no why?
-
cuz it needs .NET framework to run properly

i enabled it. still no difference for xtu

should i install a new bios? i thought it was connected to the hardware and not the operating system itself. i install a new ssd as my primary drive and can dual boot between it and my new one.
XTU on Windows 10 MEGA FAIL?!
