I have a lenovo y50 gaming laptop, which doesn't have a cd drive and I installed steam and purchased MW3 from there. Might be buying BF4 also. I'm horrible gaming with the mouse and keyboard, so I would like use the xbox 360 wireless controller that came with the console. I like the portability of the gaming laptop, which is why I bought it. I'm thinking about using a game profiler like xpadder, joystix or pinnacle game and plan on buying a wireless usb gaming receiver (cheap route). Can I use the SAME controller for the pc and do I have to re-sync it every time I switch back and forth between console and laptop?

Yes you will have to resync every time.
If you use an xbox 360 controller in Windows especially multiplayer you will lose... a lot... all the time really. The limited turn rate will be like turning a semi vs turning a Mini Cooper. -
Don't play MW3 online, it's filled with hackers. And you will get destroyed even more if you use a controller.

Yea playing FPS on computer with a controller you will be destroyed.
Xbox 360 wireless controller and playing MW3 on steam
