    XP Home edition does support hyperthreading, just does not support multiprocessors.
    I have a neighbor who has XP home w/hyperthreading.

    thanks for telling me I was about to call HP tonight to complain about them not mentioning this to me when I order my computer with XP home. I would like to know, is there a way I can see if my Hyper threading is working? In my system bios i have no controls to even see if its on.

    Both links say that xp home supports hyperthreading.
    The very 1st part of the 1st link is a retraction from PCmag saying a previous article they published saying that XP home did not support hyperthreading was wrong. Anyhow it does work with xp home.

    ok thanks for clearing that up, I must have missed the part about the retraction. I kinda skimmed till I got to the hyper threading part
