When watching some YouTube videos in full screen mode the computer freezes and the video freezes. I can't move my mouse or anything for around 10-15 secs, then everything resumes and works fine.

I've got a Dell Studio XPS 1640 with 2.93ghz, 4GB DDR3 and 256GB SSD. I'm running Vista x64 with FF 3.5 and the latest version of Flash.

    Any ideas?

You can try these things, not sure if they would help, but it is worth a shot (if you have not done so):

    . Graphic driver update

    . Disable hardware acceleration

    cheers ...

Can you correlate the time that the freezing happens with anything that's getting logged in the event logs?

I also had similar problem with my old desktop.
Whenever I click fullscreen mode, the desktop would keep shut down.
The culprit was the graphic card driver.
I uninstalled the graphic card driver and installed the recent driver.
After that, it ran flawlessly in full screen mode without shutting down.
So try reinstalling graphic card driver

Try disabling hardware acceleration in flash player's settings.

Right-click on a flash video, then uncheck this box:

Are you on battery or using a power setting other than maximum?
