This is driving me nuts. YouTube videos are constantly jerky or have intermittent pauses while playing video. I've updated Intel GPU drives and latest Flash player and still it pauses regularly. I've set the browser to use the dedicated GPU (860m) and it seems to disappear, but I don't want to have to use my 860m to watch YouTube videos. System is in High Performance mode even, so not sure what the heck is going on! I have a fairly clean install of Windows 8 as well.

edit: Nevermind... Tools/Options/General/Deselect "Use hardware acceleration when available" seems to have fixed the issue. Wonder if this is a Flash issue or Intel issue?

Which browser? Firefox constantly gives me grief with Flash video, regardless of whether it's Youtube, Blip, or elsewhere. Doesn't matter what hardware acceleration settings I use. No problems with Chrome, IE (Windows), or Safari (OS X). I would switch to Safari full time if Apple didn't place arbitrary limits in its code that prevent full functionality of certain extensions, such as Adblock Plus.

Firefox... but turning off acceleration helps.

I have no problem with FF29 watching Yutub video with the latest flash plugins and that is on a Dell 1525 T8100 4gig system. No lag or pauses...I think it sounds like to much browser plugin conflicts or hardware problem process the videos with flash.

Here's an example (it's back again.):

    I don't have many add-ons either:

Not sure what you mean by jerky but it does pause @ 10, 21, 28 Firefox and IE.

Well yeah pausing, but sometimes multiple pauses together make it seem jerky.

That could be more related to your ISP or something else hogging the bandwidth at the same time. Since it happens on both FF and IE that would mean the browser isn't the problem. Either something else or Youtube is part of the problem. Also looks like poorly encoded video that is my other guess already jerky just from the get go would indicate poor encoding process.

If others could play the video here at 1080p and compare and see if you have any jerkiness it would be much appreciated.:

    Thanks!

edit: I just tried it with the "pale moon" browser (firefox variant) and it works fine.

It's jerky because the XB1 frame rate is so low.

Was that a test of smooth play capability or an indoctrination? Ugh. No pausing or hesitation @1080p -- FF.
