Zonealarm and my new XPS 1530(Vista)

So i installed ZoneAlarm Security Suite yesterday after removing ditching my free trial of PC chillin. I choose Zonealarm because i have used it for the past year or so on my PC and like it very much. So i decide to also use it on my first lappy.


Problem is that ever since i DL's Zonealarmand set it up i get a black screen after loggin in to windows?

Any one else have this happen to them to?

Solutions?

Better lappy security out there/

Would really like to keep using Zonealarm but cant keep doing this crap.

 

Zonealarm is really horrible with Vista, I used the free version myself when I first got my Vostro but had to ditch it for Comodo since it had Vista specific bugs and was incompatible with P2P software.

 

I had a similar problem, although i cant remember whether it was ZoneAlarm that caused it. After the login screen, the screen went black; i pressed Ctrl+Alt+Del and then clicked Cancel, and my desktop appeared.

For a decent alternative, i second Comodo Firewall.

 

I have about a 20-25 sec black screen after the windows scrolling start bar diappears. It goes black and then the microsoft orb and the "bloing" sound. I have never had zonealarm but did install comodo-spybot-ccleaner and something else before this happened. i am also having serious problems installing windows updates....maybe it's related???

 

I had a TERRIBLE experience with Comodo on Vista. Currently using ZoneAlarm AntiVirus (not free) and it is working well.
