Hey people. Is there a software out there that I can record a sound from a youtube video? It is for a project and I want to rip out this certain sound. Thanks.

Yes first get a program or go to videodownloader.net and save the youtube video as .flv(flash video file that youtube/google/ect uses) then find a program like Total Video Converter(cost $$ but there might be alternative or a trial download) to convert the .flv to and .mp3
To edit it use audacity or an other sound editors -
Try this.
Then find something to convert it to .mp3 like he^ said. -
NICE NICE. Thanks. I found this really cool website that you give them the downloaded .flv files and then they'll convert it for you online. And they'll send you an email at where you can dl it.
http://converter.flv2mp3.com/
That is the link if you guys are in the same boat as me. -
I use Total Recorder (about twenty bucks) for all my streaming audio recording needs. It has worked well for me for the last four years or so. Depending on your sound chip you might also be able to use a soundcard recording program like Audacity (free).

Nice find with the online flv converter and flv to mp3 converter/emailer.
I will be sure to use those in the future. -
Sound Forge 8 is my fav.
