Anyone use any of these messeging programs? can anyone confirm that the webcam for msn works in any of these? That is the most important part to me. Also, if you do or have used any of them, how are they on rescources?

    Thanks

I've used Mercury and it's quite good. The webcam in msn works fine in it.

Is there anything that does AIM and Google that integrates your buddylist instead of having separate lists for different messengers and also supports AIM's getfile feature?

I've been using Miranda for 3-4 years now. The teeny resource footprint and nearly unlimited possibilities offered by plugins makes it tops in my book.
But i don't use MSN, so i can't answer your specific question.

I've heard of them, I generally use Trillian or GAIM instead

I really liked miranda when I tried it out; but it doesn't support webcams or audio under msn I believe.
