Does anyone know how to add the "downloads" folder shortcut to the dark right hand side of the start menu in Vista? See arrow in attached pic.
    Thanks

You don't need to post the same topic more than once.

Set up downloads folder in Start Menu using Classic View.

Revert back to Vista Start Menu

Right click on Start Menu right side or use Control Panel to Customize and Add Favorites Folder to right side of Start Menu

Drag and Drop Downloads folder to Favorites Folder

It is a round about way to do it. You just select Favorites folder and you get the Downloads folder. You can add or delete whatever you want to the favorites Folder.

There is probalby another way, but that is what I figured out.

You can right-drag (drag using right mouse button) the Downloads folder to the regular Start menu, but you have to put it on the left side, on top, near the Internet and e-mail links. I don't know of a way to put links on the right-side panel.
