i've installed some asian programs (japanese to be specific) and everything in the program when i start it, every menu, characters are displayed as (???????) so i have no way to use the program at all after installation...

so i think i need to install some additional language support...
but when i go to: control panel > regional and language options > keyboards and languages > install / uninstall languages, wher do i browse for to install additional display language??

i'm running vista ultimate so do i need the MUI instead? where can i get that from?

    thanks in advance

i had vista brielfy for a period of a week which i got of a korean friend of mine.everything was in korean so with the help of an online translator and a bit of browsing it turned out that as obvious as it was you download that packages via the ultimate extras menu.it will give the option to download over a dozen languages which you then install via control panel > regional and language options > keyboards and languages > install / uninstall languages. hope that works

Oh and btw can you actually speak japanease or is the program only available in japanease which you though you could change to english once you installed it

i installed the language package as you said and it didn't solved the problem... i played around the options and found out that i simply needed to set the format to Japanese that's all... but thanks anyways for the help :)
