hey guys, i have adobe photoshop elements 4.0, adobe premiere standard and adobe reader 7.0.7 all installed in my new notebook.
what's the difference among the three? i'd really like to remove what may be unnecessary bloatware since they seem to take up a lot of space.

Elements is used for some graphic work and photography touchups. Premiere is used for film editing and Reader is used to view PDF files (which is a common file type now). Chances are, you will only need Reader, unless you are into editing.

i think premiere is pretty expensive and it can come in handy if you ever make home movies or music videos.
For pdf reader, i prefer fox-it reader because it's way tiny, does everything u need, and loads twice as fast as adobe reader. -
Okay I have a couple of questions along these lines. What is adobe bridge and what is photoready? Those two programs confuse me.

do you mean Imageready? if so:
Bridge is the new browser integrated into the CS2 programs. Basically image organization and tagging, allows quick editing of metadata, etc. Imageready is a web preparation program, allows easier preparation of web features than in Photoshop, along with some web-specific features not included in Photoshop.
adobe - what's the difference?
