    aim issues

    not really sure where to put this, but i guess since aim is a software, it goes under here.

    i tried installing aim 6.1 recently on my G1s, and it installs about 10% before bringing up an error message saying that an issue occurred during the download process. There was a number tag along with the error message, which was "1004."

    can anyone give input on what 1004 means and how to resolve this issue so i can install aim onto my laptop?

    Maybe you can try to read this... I found it in google... but right now i can't access the page cause of my office firewall... I hope that will help you with the problem...

    hm....now my aim is acting up again. every so often windows brings up an error message saying that aim needs to be closed and gives me the options of saying if i want to just close the program or have windows search for a solution online. is this an error with aim/vista compatibility or something else?
