Since always, when pressing caps lock or num lock, the gray rectangle with black capital letters message appears on the lower right corner. I´m ok with this, I got used to it.

However, today I noticed that when pressing these keys, another square pops up: black background, gray lining, with purple icons for scroll/num/caps lock.

It doesn's just appear, it slides from the bottom.

    Where did that come from?

Yeah, this isn't a default option in the OS.

Fairly certain it's because of Dell QuickSet.

I updated my Genius mouse drivers, which removed touchpad drivers (don't ask me why), so I downloaded and reinstalled Dell Touchpad drivers.

I think that's when the popup appeared... however I don't see the relation between the touchpad and cap/num lock...
