    I'm new to this so go easy on me, I'm sure is simple. I have two seperate (large) letters. One area where the letters intersect, I would like to delete a section from the one in the foreground, allowing the section from the one in the backrground to be seen, giving the appearance of them being interlaced. Anyone know the tool or trick to do this?

    thanks

    If you select the letters and right-click, convert to curves, then you can edit the shape however you like with the nodes and such. *note, they will no longer be considered text objects, so you won't be able to change the font after.

    I'm not sure exactly what you mean though, I could probably help more if you uploaded the .cdr file.

    edit: and shouldnt this be in Windows Software and not gaming. :p yeah I know they renamed the categories and they swapped positions i think.

    thanks for helping me, but I'm not sure I follow. How do I bring a section from letter in the background forward to overlap the one in the foreground.

    edit - Yep, looks like I screwed up. Wrong category

    Ah, I understand what you want now I think. You would need to have 2 copies of one of the letters I guess;
    copy the letter that's behind and paste another one,
    then convert the newly created clone, which should be in front of the other letters, to curves.(ctrl+Q)
    then take the shape tool (f10), and remove the parts of the letter that shouldn't be in front.

    So basically you just have your letter in 2 parts, one with the parts behind the other letter, on with the parts you want in front.

    I'm not sure if there's an easier way to do it.

    O yeah, forgot about the crop tool, I guess that makes things easier; you wouldnt even have to convert to curves then, since the crop tool does that automatically if you crop text.
