    any good free program to burn CDs and DVDs?

    I been using sonic record now on my old laptop and worked pretty good, but cant find how to burn a dvd on my t61 with winXP

    Calvin the ones i tried from the best free software list only burn ISOs, i didn't try all of them though,which ones can burn data dvds?

    I haven't used all of them myself either. You can ask for such software there if you want though, or try them all.

    I don't need to burn any data to cd's or dvd's. I've used a couple of those but only for testing purposes to get onto the list.

    cd burner xp works quite well for data cd or dvd, but not movie dvd's, just data

    imgburn is great

    i tried imgburn but it cudnt burn data dvds,maybe i was mistaken..

    i just downloaded InfraRecorder,it burns data dvds,didn't explore it enuf yet though

    Stupid question that i've been wanting to ask 4 a while now,what is OP short 4 :D?i figured it means the person asking the question or who started the thread but i can't seem to figure what it's short 4.

    i tried downlaoding trillian but it seems like a very intrusive software.. I think it asked me to create a new registry ..ect, stuff that I dont usually get with other softwares

    As mobyzone has just recommended, checking out the Best Free Software for Windows thread would be helpful.

    If you have any software related questions, it would be best to post them in the best free software thread instead of here, but to answer your question, all the software there is safe and tested. Just allow it to do what it wants to do.
