    Hey guys,

I am having problems configuring gmail and hotmail to my outlook email program. The computer guy at my school was unable to help out as he had the same problems.

if you are able to, let me know how!

    thx.

I'm not sure about Gmail, but I think you need the paid Hotmail service in order to use thier POP servers. Do you have that?

I've gotten gmail on my outlook also with no problems. With hotmail, you have to pay in order to use outlook, but I did not find it very beneficial to pay for it. It was almost like using I.E. or FF to access hotmail.

I have hotmail working with my Outlook. When you add new account pick HTTP, and choose hotmail for your HTTP Mail service provider from the drop down box. All you have to do is enter your username and password.

With hotmail I think they disabled their service for outlook for new members. Older members(dont know how they select it but I did get an email stating that I can still continue use outlook to access my mail) can still access their service through OE/outlook.

I'm not sure how ironic it is ;) Microsoft has never been accused of having a great user interface, cutting edge features, etc. G-mail is pretty nice. My one complaint is that its search interface lacks sophistication. But, overall, it's great for what you pay for it!
