ive tried it out and it does have some interesting features.
the cleaner is similar to ccleaner but not as robust. with that being said, it seems that slimcleaners cleaner is safer to sue as it is more conservative when removing files.
optimize allows you to change the services and startup paramteres nad has its own 'supercharge' button which is an auto optimize feature. could be some use to people who do not know or are not comfortable with manually changing servies/startup parameters.
it has a feature called hijack log, that basically shows you everything happening in the computer in expert mode. have not tried it out extensively yet but seems like it is more comprehensive than hijackthis.
another worthwhile feature of slimcleaner is its rating system. it community rates files and services. when you click a certain service you get the ratings by other users and can see their comments on what the said file is for.
you can also upload your file to slimcleaners cloud antivirus.
havent touched the tools section yet.
all in all seems like a nifty utilities suite that could be a permanent part of my toolbox.
hoping for some comments from other who have used it.

apps with such ugly ui in general can not be trusted by me. too much looking like the typical spywarecrapwarewhateverware :)

+ most of it's tuning is most likely unneeded anyways.

i stay with ccleaner when needed, and nothing most of the time.

enjoy it if you like it. i won't test it.

Kinda looks like those malware programs that tell you your laptop is going to explode if you dont buy it.

But give it a try and let us know how it goes. It was only added to download.com 2 days ago... i wont give it a try until i get some solid feedback.

so is malware. so is buggy software. so is beta software. so is plain bad software.

being free doesn't mean "oh yeah, just test it". can still harm you. accidentally, or on purpose.

you seem to have many negative things to say about a program you have not even tried yet and you just keep on repeating yourself...
i think youve made your point, your opinion is noted, but it doesnt really matter.

well, it does. it's a program up and existing since mere days, and without any reputation. it looks like some crappy spyware or fake-freeware-that-wants-you-to-pay-later, etc. which is quite scary to just "download and test if it just kills the data that was of no use anyways".

based on this, i'm suggesting to not just try out and see, but test it in some secured setup (virtual machine, backup-restore setup), scan it, take care. and it makes sense.

and, i'd like to see a more detailed info post in what it does better than for example the typical choice that is ccleaner.

oh, and, most of all, that stuff is snakeoil stuff anyways. so why test something untested, which most of all will not help the system, and maybe harm it due to bugs or evil stuff.

so yes, my point makes a lot of sense. wait and see is a good idea for that kind of apps. too many apps of that kind where out, too many harmed systems.

to fix that, they might try to look more professional, and more 2011 style. not typical xp-style spyware. that would help.

anyways, snakeoil. based on what it can do, not worth even installing.

    @davepermen
From PCMAG Editors choice Award Review July 19 2011:

"SlimCleaner features the most attractive, eye-catching interface of all the PC tune-up utilities we've tested."

"After using SlimCleaner, the system saw the most improved performance of all the tune-up utilities tested: The GeekBench score rose to 601, the boot time decreased to just 43.4 seconds, and the file transfer speed dropped to 42.6 seconds. Check out our chart for to see how SlimCleaner fared against Comodo System Cleaner (a rival free tune-up utility) and the Editors' Choice award-winning Iolo System Mechanic 10."

"Without question, SlimCleaner wins our Editors' Choice for the best free PC tune-up utility, easily besting next-best offering"

    Source: pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2388697,00.asp

There are of course other trusted independent labs also rating SlimCleaner #1 such as PC Authority Test Center etc.

Thanks for trying us out! Hope that helps!
