i just did a upgrade for a freind to a 4850e in his acer from a a older single core. the system runs fine under normal use but is getting about 80 or so at full load under prime after about 20mins. i saw even 82 for a second.. imo to hot.

first off rmclock will not recognize this cpu for some reason. but when i try to apply the settings no matter what voltage i use even if its default everything simply locks. i have to do a hard shutdown then restart and everything is normal again. i cant change even one voltage setting at any stepping even .001 or it locks up.

os is win7 premium 64bit any thoughts??? thanks
