my daughter and I both have an HP dv2000, lately they both have the same problem. We will be on the internet and suddenly a pop up says that the internet connection is lost, would you like to find a solution or restart the program. and under the reasons for the failure it says APPCRASH does any one know how to fix this?

I'm guessing that you're using Vista? If you could elaborate on whether that's the case or not, also:

    -Wired or wireless internet connection
-Which program is reporting that message (Internet Explorer or a different app?)
-Does the pop-up box resemble the standard Windows dialog box, or does it appear more like that of your web browsers window?
-When you click, 'find a solution' what's reported?

If you could run a few spyware/virus programs, remove unwanted processes, and post a screen shot this could be easier to diagnose.

What browser or program is it? Internet Explorer?

And do you have Service Pack 1 installed?
(Right-click Computer and click Properties. Under the copyright message it will say "Service Pack 1" if it's installed.)

Oh yeah... and if you have Adobe Flash installed (you probably do), right-click a Flash movie and click Settings and uncheck "Enable hardware acceleration". (That fixed my browser crashes.)
