i know vista has some compatibility issues and just wanted to know which Anti-virus and firewall is the best for vista?
-
For Free: Avira Antivir with Comodo firewall pro
For Pay: NOD32 with Comodo firewall pro -
Comodo beats even the Paid Firewalls like Norton?
-
-
Wow, can't believe you said Norton as the best.
=x -
Norton is leagues behind Comodo. You underestimate the power of free, my friend...
Are the Mods being lazy today? Or they just don't feel like moving this thread. -
AKAJohnDoe Mime with Tourette's
You'll get many opinions, but you will eventually need to decide for yourself.
I use and like ZoneAlarm AntiVirus. -
-
I use Norton Internet Security 2008.
Very satisfied. -
It means i am using the Best ????
I have NOD32 + COMODO
I kicked the s*** of out Norton ...so it never came back to trouble me..
I even deleted the Product KEY of Norton 2007 in hurry, convinced that i'll never need it..
Coz i am never gonna go back to Norton unless some1 recommends it over NOD32
Is Norton IS 2008 better than NOD32 now? -
no its not. norton will never be good lol

NIS 2008 is a major improvement over the previous editions.
It's light on resources, doesn't bug me like the past editions, and AFAIK I haven't been infected or anything like that.
I've had ZERO complaints about it thus far. -
(my) vista:
. free stuff is cool
. comodo
. avast
cheers ... -
Ugh. Norton. Eww.
Anyway, AVG is great for me, except for the false positives. It's not a memory hog either -
Used AVG and Zonealarm for 4 years without a problem.
Recently switched to COMODO + AntiVir and it takes like 50MB more RAM for no functional increase IMO. Also Antivir doesn't want to auto-update for some reason even though its on. This is a common problem.
Will go back in a couple of weeks to AVG/ZA when i reformat.
best av and firewall on vista
