    I was wondering what is the best or rather decent burning software available today?

    I like magiciso but it can only burn image files....!!
    apart from that I use nero 8....its good..!! burnt more than 100 cds and dvds collectively....and I have never got a failed burning.. :)

    I agree as long as you don't get Application Busy. If you get that, reboot and launch Nero until it works.

    my top pick is Nero...i know a lot of people that also like Alcohol 120...but to me Nero has a more user friendly GUI

    I use Roxio, Nero and Infra Recorder.

    Nero is OK, but I really do prefer Roxio - much easier to use.

    If you want a multi purpose thing that is actually an app, rather than drag and drop then I'd go for Infra Recorder. I prefer the interface to that of Nero.

    On the other hand, Nero is very good if you want to do lightscribe labels.

    I use CDBurnerXP, it's doesn't have the best image support but it's free.

    ImgBurn is amazing. Based off of DVDecrypter, but only the burning stuff, so it's legal.
