    Just curious, what's wrong with movie maker? Personally I think it's one of the best video editing programs.

    Ditto that. WMM is a basic program by design, however, it's fairly good at it what it does do and is a pretty good way to start off with editing, especially for the occasional casual video or family slideshow.
