hi, I want to ask you guys what video player are you using. I have Vista x64 as OS and I was using BSPlayer with XP, but with Vista, it seems that BSPlayer is turning off my Aero.

So I want to ask you, what is a good video player for Vista x64. I guess there is no other native x64 video player besides Media Player (11 or MP Classic by some fans :) ). or is there any other good one?
    thanks for any help....

PS: I would be using WMP, but BSPlayer had many features that WMP hasnt. It was so much easier with BSPlayer to load subtitles to a movie without having to rename it..... i liked the 10s skipping without having to move on the movie time axis.......

download CCCP (combined comunity codec package) that will get you all the codecs you need and isntalls media player clasic (what I recomend) and also Zoom Player and thats what I use if MPC doesnt work. Both are great and work in vista and Aero stays on.

VLC Media Player is what I use and recommend. It plays a large number of video formats without requiring additional codecs to be installed. Plus you can run it as stand alone, so you can test it out without having to install anything.

VLC,GomPlayer, KMplayer all are very good.
Make sure you also have the CCCP or AceMegaCodecPack.

thanks for all the tips, I have all the codecs installed.....I can play all movies I ever wanted.....but I was trying to get some ideas about some good player in terms of being user friendly and having good functions (loading subtitles from an extrernal file is a must)...plus some good rewind and ff functions are good too (as I have mentioned, I really liked that 10s skip in BSPlayer....)

Get GOM Player then. It's the most intuitive movie app I've ever used. And it can load subs from an external file.

    :)

GOMPlayer asked me to install codecs.
It also mistakenly load subtitle. I play Video A, but it loads subtitle for Video B.
After that, I went back to K-Lite Codec Pack (with MPC). :(

I've heard nothing but good things about VLC player. A lot of people seem to find that it's very good all around.
