    I heard of boot timer and it says it doesn't work for windows 7? is there another program that works like boot timer and works for windows 7?

    Boot timer does work in Win 7 just give it administrative privileges i think.

    Boot timer is good but doesnt show you whats slowing down your start up, maybe try soluto, itl show exactly what is happening in startup and allow you to make changes etc.

    Keep in mind neither of these programs take into account the BIOS post time
    So just using a stopwatch may be just as good

    i am using ti to test windows boot up not bios. Does just what i need. Want to prove the difference between an optimized drive and a non optimized drive.

    boot timer does work on win7 . you could also try bootrace.
