i've been noticing a problem for about a week in Vista. I've been able to use AOL flawlessly, but i usually connect using AOL and also open Mozilla for multitasking. Well, about a week ago i noticed that with AOL connected through dial-up, or on a wireless network, Mozilla nor IE will connect. it tells me that there's no internet connection, yet AOL, AIM and windows update can access the internet flawlessly. Mozilla and IE are both set to be allowed through Windows Firewall. i havent changed any settings or installed any updates that could have changed anything lately. what do you all think this could be?

It sounds to something similar to wha I encountered on Belking Router.

What could have happened is that for some reason Domain Names are no longer resolved into IP adresses.

On the affected computer - try opening Google by typing in the IP address.
If that works its a Domain Name Server problem.

On my Belkin I upgraded the firmware, solved that problem and ran into a new one...

Don't ask me how and why this occurs...

You can also try to clear your DNS cache first.

    cheers ...
