    i bought new laptop and i want to transfer some data from my pc to laptop i have usb cable but i don't know the method .

    Why wouldn't you just transfer over the network?

    You can also use a crossover cable if you don't have a network setup.

    Get a crossover cable or external disk.

    You might be able to use USB, but some tin cans and a length of string would be just as fast.
